Bio

Jared Jackson joins West North Avenue Development Authority as the new Housing Development Officer. Jared’s housing development philosophy is grounded in his commitment to fostering resilient, economically vibrant, and inclusive communities. His professional journey spans the management of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects for government, non-quasi-governmental, and private industry organizations. Jared's work is consistently characterized by a focus on holistic development strategies that integrate community needs with sustainable growth.

A native of northeast Baltimore, Jared has an intimate understanding of Baltimore’s unique challenges and opportunities. His academic credentials include an undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the largest historically Black college and university (HBCU) in the nation, and a Master’s degree in City Planning with a focus on Real Estate Development from the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to his role at WNADA, Jared helped manage several large-scale projects that significantly improved infrastructure and housing conditions in underserved areas. His notable achievements include working with interdisciplinary teams on multi-phase housing developments, coordinating public-private partnerships, and implementing innovative project management practices to ensure timely and efficient project completion.


In addition to his professional work, Jared is a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens, channeling his enthusiasm for the team into the same passion and energy he brings to his role at WNADA. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and is actively involved in the local Baltimore City graduate chapter, Zeta Sigma.
