Ms. Jawauna M. Greene is an Assistant Secretary of Transportation for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). With a transportation career that spans more than 20 years, Ms. Greene has distinguished herself in the industry as a leading communications strategist and marketing professional. A life-long Baltimore City resident, Ms. Greene remains committed to her community. She previously served as an executive for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), one of our nation’s largest transportation and infrastructure organizations. Ms. Greene has spent most of her professional career working in Maryland for regional transportations systems such as the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), the Maryland Port Administration (MPA), and the Maryland Transit Administration. She has helped launch high- profile transportation projects and customer-facing initiatives that have been recognized as industry game-changers! Ms. Greene has performed advocacy work for both nonprofit and public sector organizations. She has serves on various advisory committees and nonprofit boards throughout the State of Maryland and District of Columbia. Ms. Greene has also received several awards for her work in the field of marketing and for her community advocacy work. Ms. Greene is the proud mother of two young adults and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Hood College, and a Masters in Business from University of Maryland Global College.
